Mulch Mate® with its dual pivot hinge is a very universal mountable machine. Mulch Mate® will fit standard high side landscape body trucks well. Yes you can install Mulch Mate® on an aluminum body but there may be some reinforcing needed to help support the walls properly. 

We can build you your very own Mulch Mate® specific steel or aluminum body that has everything you need for a Mulch Mate®. This simplifies the entire rig and helps the guys in the field have less to worry about and will allow Mulch Mate® to work at its peak performance. 

Yes!!!! Mulch Mate® can be mounted on a stack body with our hitch mount system. We can also design you a custom mount if needed, please contact our team to discuss in further detail.

If you have a mason style body on your truck Yes you can install a Mulch Mate® on it but there will be a good amount of fab work needed. Check out Truck Mate® HD which is specifically designed for Mason Truck Bodies. 

Do you want to install your Mulch Mate® on SNG bodies, Hooklift bodies or Roll-off bodies??? You can install it on your but there is a list of things you would need to do to make it work BUT we offer all these bodies with all our tricks and upgrades to make your life super easy and you will get years of use out of this body with zero headaches. NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Think about it. Dump trailer sit to low, they are much skinnier meaning the walls are inside the wheels and tires, the walls most of the time are to short, the axles are are not moved back so when you add a 900lbs machine to the back the weight balance will be off and that's super not safe. Also adding a large piece of equipment to the back of a regular dump trailer will become a wind sail and will catch a ton of air which will create a massive weight balance issue and could cause you to crash.

Mulch Mate® is actually pretty simple. There are 2 main systems... The Hybrid pulling belt and the cross conveyor. The pull hybrid belt lays on the floor of the bed and when you press the joystick there is a tube that rolls the hybrid belt up inside the Mulch Mate®. This Hybrid belt is what you put mulch, sand, rock, compost and much more on and this hybrid belt slides through the bed and introduces the bulk materials to the dual augers (everyone calls the fluffier) and these auger brake up the bulk materials and drop the material down on top of the cross conveyor. Now that the material has made it to the cross conveyor all the cross conveyor does is push the bulk material out of the Mulch Mate® on the passenger side, filling your wheelbarrow in 3 seconds or less.

There are only 2 motors and 2 gearboxes in a Mulch Mate®, this means there is far less to go wrong and maintenance costs are kept very low. 

This is a very fun conversation!!! Since Mulch Mate®s are all over the world and there are many types of materials with many types of names for them. The folks in Maryland call something one name and the folks in Michigan will have the exact same material but call it something totally different. Soooo we will do our best to explain this to you. Maybe the list of what not to run would be much smaller but we will give you an idea what will work lol!!!

Most organic materials like mulch, dirt and compost is a yes!!! When is comes to stone we say anything under 5" should be fine but please keep in mind your different weights of different materials!!!! Sand is a yes just keep in mind with any of this material there is a right and wrong way to run the Mulch Mate®!!! Grass clippings or leaves is a no.

This is a great question. There are a number of factors. The max you want to run without UHMW liner and an optimized bed is 4 tons. Now, there are many tricks you can pull to get a lot more out of your Mulch Mate®. First thing we love is lining your truck with UHMW which we offer entire kits for your trucks, container and trailers. Another trick is we build the bodies the exact width so the load flows through the body as efficiently as possible. Other things that you can do is simply run your truck to supply extra voltage to the Mulch Mate® which is huge for Mulch Mate®. The last neat trick is simply lifting the bed just a little bit, like a degree or two and that allows the hybrid belt to pull down hill and thats huge and allows you to pull that much more through the Mulch Mate®!!! 

Yes!!!! You can still tow with a Mulch Mate® install on the back of your truck. You will need to install a hitch extension that works best for your truck here is a link to an example of what we are talking about https://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Adapters/TorkLift/TLE1536.html 

These types of trailer hitch extensions have been around for decades, most folks used them when they would install a Truck Bed Camper and it would hang over the back of the bed of the truck and they still needed to tow. 

Great question, Mulch Mate® weights in at 950lbs and the real way to look at it is how much actual weight is it going to add to your truck and that number is much lower because you are going to remove the rear doors from your truck which could weigh up to 300lbs in some case so you over all net gain is in the 650lbs to 700lbs range. That's the average weight of 3 men in the backseat of your truck. 

This is a very common question we hear!!! The simple answer is its very easy to remove!!!! All you need to do is support the bottom of the Mulch Mate® with a set of forks from a forklift or skid loader, unplug the power and signal wires, use a 3/4" socket and impact and remove the 8 bolts on either side of the body and pull the Mulch Mate® off. We supply you with a Mulch Mate® pallet when you purchase your Mulch Mate® NEW and you can set the Mulch Mate® on the pallet and store it. Be sure to clean and plug Mulch Mate® in while its in storage!!!

Mulch Mate® has two onboard batteries (31 series deep cycle batteries) These batteries get changed in many many ways!!! 

There are 3 main ways to charge your Mulch Mate®

First and foremost your Mulch Mate® comes with a Truck Charging Harness. This harness is a complete kit that comes with everything you need to get serious power to the back of your truck. You can purchase extras of these kits to install in multiple trucks so you have a redundant backup. 

The second most simple way is to plug it in overnight every night. The Mulch Mate® comes with a NOCO Smart charging system that allows you to simply plug your Mulch Mate® using an extension cord. This plug is conveniently located at the left rear corner of your rig so when your walking up or looking back in the mirror you will easily see the extension cord plugged into your Mulch Mate®. This all comes standard with your Mulch Mate®. You can leave this cord plugged in as long as you would like. 

The third way to charge the batteries is with our Solar Charging panels located on the top of the Mulch Mate® tool basket. This is a 200 watt setup with a 30amp outdoor rated solar controller. This setup really allows you to have full power nearly all the time because most of us don't realize how much vehicles just sit and when they are sitting there they could be soaking up the sun and turning it into power. 

This is a great question and yet it will be different for everyone because there are a lot of things to facture in when it comes to Mulch Mate® and this process. 

Here is how we see it. Mulch Mate® is more than just getting a person out of the back of the truck. It's about speeding the entire crew up and boosting morale all while keeping these folks safer. 

You should be able to get the same amount of work done 30% to 40% faster with at least 1 less person on this crew and at the same time using less mulch, if you are on a mulch job because the dual augers (fluffers as folks like to call them) flush the mulch as its existing the Mulch Mate®. 

What all this means is you will be able to get jobs done in half the time with the same people or less. 

Great question, Mulch Mate® is all electric and this means very little maintenance. Where the majority of the maintenance comes from is the materials that you choose to run through the system. Think of it like a mower and having to scrap the bottom of a deck, The longer you let it build up the longer it will take to clean. Mulch Mate® only has one necessary grease point. Other things you will want to do it check and test the batteries once a year and be sure to keep them charged. The only other maintenance is between each load to reset the hybrid belt and that's it. Annually you should check the chains and use chain wax on them to lube and protect them. 

Lets face it, everything breaks and we have a saying its not what happens It's how you handle it and customer support is a massive thing to us. We have a full support center that staff that know Mulch Mate® inside and out. This is not a product that we import into the country and we barely know anything about it. We know every inch of them, we design them, engineer them, build them, assemble them, and ship them to you and support you and your team!!! We have all the parts and know how to keep you up and running. We can overnight parts straight to you and most of the time that's faster than any local dealer. We hope to build a bigger dealer network but we will not just sign on anyone, we require only the best and those that care about their customer base more than just profits.

The Hybrid belt is extremely strong and rugged. We have hundreds of customers that have tens of thousands of yards of material run though the Mulch Mate®. If your running mainly rock it will wear the hybrid belt faster than mulch. If you don't keep up with the regular very easy maintenance it could wear the belt faster. If you were to budget 1 per year on average that is a very safe and conservative timeline. 

You have many options but don't be afraid, installing a Mulch Mate® is a very simple process. First off you can install it yourself and we will be thee the entire way to help you. There are videos and instructions as well so you absolutely can install it yourself. Hundreds of folks have installed their own Mulch Mate®s over the years. 

You can have your local fab guy do the work for you as well and we will support you and them in this process, Again its not very hard.

The truth is we sell to Billion dollar companies and one man bands. For a Mulch Mate® specifically we feel companies that are processing more then 400 yards of mulch per year are our Ideal customer. The other best customer for a Mulch Mate® is a Top Dressing company of any size. 

The is yes but there is a decent amount of work to do to make this happen and we feel its not an ideal process. We recommend you purchasing 2 Mulch Mate®s and rotate those two truck for those large jobs. 

This number changes based upon different trucks, the weight of the body on the them, the manufacture of the truck and body, the age of the truck because older truck sage more and tire wear. The Mulch Mate® hangs down 12" from the floor so measure your truck and deduct 12" plus the deflection in the suspension and this is the height clearance you will end up with. We do offer an extension conveyor to give you more height if you are in need of this. 

We hear you loud and clear. It can feel expensive but when you do basic numbers it not expensive at all. Think about it this way Mulch Mate® itself will only cost about $600 a month, thats $7200 a year. That is MUCH MUCH MUCH cheaper than an employee. Keep in mind an employee is much more than hourly dollars.

So basic math is if you fire someone for $20 per hour they will most likely cost you $34 per hour and that's providing they never make a mistake, break something or get hurt. This is a fun conversation but one that you must take with a grain of salt. First off we feel the is a place for both industry leading tools. They both live in two different categories. The Mulch Mate® lives in what we call the BMD category (BMD "Bulk Material Dispenser") and the Bark Blower lives in the Blower category. One blows and one dispenses. These are two very different applications with two very different jobs. Blowers are great for hillsides, hard to access points, rooftops, and bio log filling. The Mulch Mate® is great for processing more than just dry mulch. You can run mulch, rock, sand, dirt, compost and much more. When installed on a truck you can fit the truck into a parking spot and reduce the distance from the beds saving you time and money. Blowers are powered by fossil fuel and Mulch Mate® is all electric and is charged with the FREE energy from the truck and via Solar so we are a very clean company. Mulch Mate® is a faster more versatile piece of equipment for the majority of the industry, blowers are great and have a spot in the industry but there is a huge gap between a pitchfork and a bark blower. Mulch Mate® is also 60% less expensive then the cheapest bark blower 

There are just shy of 1000 units in the American market alone!!! They also live in Canada, and Australia!!!

This all depends on how well you kept the machine. We have seen Mulch Mate®s resell for great money and others not so much. Geographically make a huge difference and the condition of the machine is huge.
